![]() If it also have as much stun power as the crossbow this could be used to stun FP (and then finish it off while stunned). If M99 have a base damage of 847 then you can still 1-shot scrake even if you take ballistic shock instead of stability. If M99 have a base damage of 823 then you can still 1-shot scrake even if you take marksman instead of sniper (or if you take tactical reload and always prepared instead of rack em up and dead eye). Nightmare to balance and still have both viable. Thing is, if you still need 2 shots on a FP with the downside of 14 block weight and less spare ammo then I'd say you would be better off with a railgun (+5 blocks of trash killing weapon(s)) 9 times out of 10.Įxception being at lower difficult settings or with less people in the team where you actually 1-shot FPs with it (but not with the railgun). I don't have much faith left in TWI's ability to properly balance the weapon roster, but even I don't think they'd be so out of touch with basic game balance that they would give the M99 the ability to one-shot a goddamn 6p HoE fleshpound. But it's a far cry better than being able to one-shot an FP with a hitscan weapon that operates well even at long ranges. Now, is it still stupid as hell that you would potentially be able to one-shot scrakes and two-shot FPs while potentially taking the mobility / stun power increasing skills, especially considering that Rail is already broken OP with all left? Undoubtedly. ![]() ![]() Railgun in its current state only requires either one starting REU stack or a single preceding 9mm headshot in order to decap a scrake without the 10% bonus from Deadeye, as an example. This wouldn't exactly require much damage to accomplish. If the increase in damage is relatively small, M99 will be able to hit the same shots-to-kill breakpoints as the Railgun but with one important distinction: not requiring all left.
